AOL Marketing Automation Platform

An internal marketing automation platform operated by Art of Living Foundation Germany e.V. for its own Google Ad Grants account. This is not a commercial product, not an agency service, and not open to third parties.

What the platform does

The platform automates internal marketing operations for a single Google Ad Grants nonprofit account. Its sole purpose is helping Art of Living Foundation Germany fully utilise its in-kind Google Ad Grants budget while staying inside every Google Ad Grants policy requirement (5% CTR floor, account-level CTR, 2-keyword minimum per ad group, sitelink extensions, conversion tracking, etc.).

Feature list

• Campaign & ad-group management — creating, pausing, and updating Search campaigns, ad groups, responsive search ads, and keywords (German and English) via CampaignService, AdGroupService, AdGroupAdService, and AdGroupCriterionService.
• Quality-Score monitor — daily query of keyword quality_score, historical_quality_score, and policy_summary via GoogleAdsService.Search; any keyword that drops to QS < 3 is automatically paused to protect Grants eligibility.
• Offline-conversion upload — when a landing-page lead becomes an enrolled course participant, the GCLID captured at landing is uploaded as an offline conversion via ConversionUploadService.UploadClickConversions so Smart Bidding and reporting reflect real downstream enrolments.
• Budget pacing — daily read of campaign cost_micros and impressions to detect under-delivery against the $329/day Grants cap; human approval required before any budget-change mutation.
• Weekly board report — aggregated read-only report for the e.V.'s board meetings, built from campaign, ad_group, keyword_view, and conversion_action resources.
• Ad-copy approval workflow — all new or changed ad copy is emailed to the nonprofit's internal reviewers (DE + EN) before any mutation is pushed to Google Ads.

What the platform is NOT

• Not an agency tool. It manages exactly one Google Ads account — the nonprofit's own — with no multi-tenant, multi-client, or reseller capability anywhere in the codebase.
• Not a SaaS product. There is no sign-up, no pricing page, no customer-facing product. No external party can authenticate.
• Not a public API. No third-party application can connect to it. Google Ads API credentials are scoped to a single refresh token tied to the operator's Google Workspace account.
• Not for sale. Both the source code and the running instance are operated exclusively for the e.V.

• Expected daily operation volume: 500–2,000 API operations, well inside the Basic Access tier limits

• OAuth scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords only
• No data sharing: API data is consumed server-side; no PII or campaign data is resold, exported, or made available to third parties.

About the non-profit

Art of Living Foundation Germany e.V. is the registered German non-profit arm of the Art of Living Foundation, founded globally in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. In Germany it runs meditation, breathing, and stress-relief programmes including §20 SGB V certified prevention courses (reimbursed by all major statutory health insurers) and silent retreats at the European Art of Living Center in Bad Antogast, Black Forest.
